If you want a Desaudio creation on your loudspeakers to harmonize with absolute perfection with the colors and style of your home, then a custom coloring work might be the most desired solution for you.

A custom coloring is created exclusively for a client and will only be used in projects for the client. This color set is not available for anyone else. Thus, it is a one-off version of one of the patterns that are exclusively designed for Desaudio, chosen by the client for the custom job.

A one-off color set created uniquely just for your home

The custom coloring will be done personally for you by Sverrir, the founder of Desaudio and designer of the patterns. Sverrir is the creative mastermind behind the Designer Home Audio innovation, and author of the book “Designer Hi-Fi and Home Cinema Speakers and Devices” which explains the theories.

You, the client, would choose which of the exclusive Desaudio patterns you want to get, to be custom colored for you.

You, or your decorator who is working on a project for you, would provide stylistic cues. This would be pictures of the room which the custom colors should be in aesthetic harmony with, or some other style inspiration, for instance images of interiors that represent a style that you are interested in establishing in your home.

Created based on stylistic cues and numbered

The custom coloring will be created using the stylistic cues as base. When the custom coloring is ready, you will be presented with the results, either via email, or in a Zoom meeting or similar. If you have any comments or preferences regarding the colors, you can provide those, and Sverrir can respond to them.

The custom color work will be numbered according to how many custom color works have already been made during the year, and it will also be marked with the year. The first custom color job gets the number #1/year, the second will be #2/year, and so on.

Works created in the first full year of Designer Home Audio, which is fall of 2021 to fall of 2022, will carry the special “Anno 1” or “first year” mark.

Designer Home Audio is a stylistic innovation, a new luxury product segment based on harmony of the aesthetic surface design of home audio devices with known interior design styles. The world has not seen this before, and this disrupts the appearance of home audio devices in an approx US$ 20 Billion market. Owning a custom coloring of a pattern in the first year of the existence of the new product segment, created personally by the mastermind behind the segment, will make it more unique in the future, and possibly a collector’s item. That is especially true for the first items in the series.

Enjoy your ownership of your custom coloring in various ways

What will the custom coloring be used for and how will you enjoy your unique color combination of the Desaudio pattern you chose? You will be able to enjoy your custom coloring in many ways.

The basic purpose of the custom coloring is to use it on loudspeaker covers in your room. The custom color job comes with the rights to have them realized on such covers. As the loudspeakers can be already owned by the client, or they may be obtained later on, and as loudspeaker come in many different sizes and proportions, and loudspeaker systems can be with a varied number of loudspeakers, then it will not be needed to realize the custom-colored pattern immediately. That can be implemented later.

But the custom coloring comes with additional items that make them enjoyable and even valuable as collectible items right away.

They can be enjoyed both in the digital realm, and as physical items.

Here is how that would be:

Digital ownership: Screencast video, 3D rendering, augmented reality and more

Screencast video

The founder of Desaudio will record a screencast video while he is working personally on the custom coloring process. This video will be edited and delivered as part of the project in a short form. You will be able to upload and share the video to your friends on your social media channels.

3D rendered mockup images

You will then receive digital images of the custom coloring, as rendered 3D mockup images with the custom-colored pattern on several combinations of loudspeakers.

AR – augmented reality

Sverrir will then also create a 3D model that can be viewed in an augmented reality (AR) app. You can thus immediately place your newly acquired custom coloring into any setting and take a picture or record a video of it, and share with your friends, even if the actual covers for loudspeakers haven’t been made yet. * (This part is in effect as long as our AR model service partner is in business.)

3D for virtual social

You will receive 3D model files as well, so you can place the virtual loudspeaker with the custom coloring, into virtual social worlds where you may be active, such as Second Life or Habbo Hotel, Blue Mars, Twinity, or HiPiHi (China). The files you receive will be of four formats: .USDZ (for Apple iOS), .GLTF (for Android), .OBJ and .DAE. * (This part is in effect as long as our AR model service partner is in business.)

NFT

The custom coloring of the pattern can be a non-fungible token, or NFT, minted on the Ethereum blockchain. By this, a unique digital asset has been created, which you could auction off or sell on the secondary market at a later date, if you desire to do so. (To receive and store your NFT asset, you need to have a crypto wallet, and know how to navigate the crypto environment).

Digital verification

You will also receive a digital verification of the work, issued by Verisart. (In order to receive this digital document, you will need to establish your account at Verisart, which is free).

Physical ownership: Loudspeaker covers, wall art and possibly other products

Loudspeaker covers

Your ownership of the custom coloring means that you have acquired the exclusive rights to have your custom-colored pattern realized on loudspeaker covers. No one else can have this custom coloring realized on anything, digital or physical.

The ability to make and deliver the printed covers is currently under development. So your enjoyment of the digital items above gives you the chance of owning a part of this start of a new luxury product segment, in a way that is enjoyable and even has collector’s value. The making of actual covers for loudspeakers will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.

Signed copy of the founder’s book

You will receive a signed, printed copy of the book “Designer Hi-Fi and Home Cinema Speakers and Devices”, written by the founder of Desaudio, where the ideas behind Designer Home Audio are explained.

Wall art

Would you like to hang a framed image of you custom colored pattern on your wall? An option will be available of getting a 3D mockup print of the custom coloring in a frame.

Other potential products

How about enjoying the custom coloring on other types of products? The idea is to offer customization of specially chosen products, where you could have your custom coloring on those. This could be products such as pillows, blankets, bags, shoes, jackets, watches, and even more. You will be the only one who has the possibility of getting the custom-colored pattern realized on these physical items, since you are its owner. This option will be further explored and introduced to pattern rights owners on a case-by-case basis, if and when that is applicable. In this option, the physical product would be custom made for just one client (one copy), customized with the design and coloring, number, year, and limited edition numbers, which this particular client has the rights too, so expect this to be more costly than buying a copy of a mass produced product. In other words, a unique, personalized product. This would not be an option to get a cheap extra product.

If and when additional customized products will be available, the possibility of those coming with a QR-code verification to verify that they are genuine items will be looked further into. An example of such a verification can be seen on the website of Realitems.io.

As you see, you will be able to enjoy your custom coloring in several ways, not just on loudspeakers.
